Nursery Bonus
Plain English
It's an INPS contribution that helps cover the cost of nursery school fees for children under 3, or in-home assistance for children with severe medical needs. The yearly amount depends on your ISEE and is paid in monthly instalments based on receipts.
Why it matters
Nursery in Italy can cost several hundred euros a month, and this bonus can soften the blow. Lower ISEE means a bigger share covered.
Real example
"After her son started at a private nido in Brindisi, Halima applied through INPS using SPID. She uploaded each monthly receipt, and the bonus landed in her bank account a few weeks behind each payment."
Common confusion
Reimbursements come after you pay, not before. You still need to front the nursery fees and then claim them back, month by month.
