Newborn Bonus

It was a per-child cash bonus from INPS for babies born or adopted in a given window of years. The original Bonus bebè (2015 to 2020) and its successor Premio alla nascita played the same role before child benefits were consolidated into the AUU.
Why it matters
If you read older Italian parenting guides or articles, this bonus comes up a lot. For new births today, the AUU is the main child benefit, and any new bonus nuovi nati has its own rules each year.
Common confusion
It\'s mostly historical. For children born today, you should look at the AUU first, not the old bonus bebè rules.
