Family Reunification Visa

It's the family reunification visa issued to non-EU family members of a sponsor in Italy. It\'s granted by the consulate after the family nulla osta has been approved by the SUI.
Why it matters
Without it, the family member can\'t fly to Italy under the reunification route. Once in Italy, they have 8 days to start the family permesso application.

"Once her family nulla osta was issued in Modena, Imran's wife and three kids in Lahore booked their visa appointments at the Italian consulate. Their visti per ricongiungimento were stamped a few weeks later."
Common confusion
It\'s based on the underlying family relationship. Big changes after the visa is issued (like separation) can affect the permit that follows.
