Single and Universal Allowance for Children

It\'s a monthly cash benefit from INPS for families with children under 21, paid for each dependent child. The amount depends on your ISEE: lower ISEE means a higher monthly cheque per child. It replaced several older child benefits in 2022.
Why it matters
It applies to almost every family legally living in Italy, including non-EU residents with the right permit. For families with low ISEE, it can add a few hundred euros a month per child.
Real example
"After their second baby was born in Bologna, Andrea and Marta applied for the AUU through INPS using SPID. With their ISEE around 22,000 euros, they started receiving the monthly transfer for both kids within two months."
Common confusion
Without a valid ISEE for the year, you\'ll only get the minimum amount. Renew your ISEE every January to avoid having your AUU drop suddenly.
