Inclusion Allowance
Plain English
It's a monthly cash benefit for low-income families with at least one minor, person over 60, or person with disability. It replaced part of the older Reddito di Cittadinanza in 2024. The amount depends on your ISEE, your family makeup, and your housing costs.
Why it matters
For families that qualify, it can cover a meaningful share of basic costs. It also brings obligations like signing an activation pact and engaging with social or work services.
Real example
"After losing his factory job near Imola, Razvan and his family applied for the Assegno di Inclusione through INPS using SPID. The first payment arrived a couple of months later, on a dedicated card from Poste."
Common confusion
It replaced the Reddito di Cittadinanza, but the rules are stricter. Non-EU applicants generally need at least 5 years of legal residence in Italy, including the last 2 continuously.
