Temporary Agency Contract
Plain English
It's a contract where a work agency hires you, then sends you to work at a client company. You\'re an employee of the agency, not of the company where you actually go to work.
Why it matters
It can be a foot in the door at companies that aren\'t hiring directly. Your pay slip, holidays, and TFR all flow through the agency, but you must be paid at the same level as the client\'s direct staff.
Real example
"To get into a logistics company near Piacenza, Hamza signed with a work agency. His contratto di somministrazione paid him at the same level as the company's warehouse staff, with all benefits handled by the agency."
Common confusion
Equal pay isn\'t optional. By law you must earn at least the same as comparable direct employees doing the same job at the user company.
